The North Georgia Conference’s Advocacy TeamThe North Georgia Conference’s Advocacy Team is one of the five ministry arms of the the Annual Conference’s Office of Connectional Ministries. Our team has responsibility for broad areas of work. We relate to the United Methodist Church’s Board of Church and Society, Commission on the Status and Role of Women, Commission on Religion and Race, Ethnic Local Church Concerns, Disability Concerns, Native American Concerns, Commission on Ecumenical and Interreligious Concerns, Persons Living in Poverty, and Sustainability.
Recently, we have been partnering with agencies such as the Interfaith Children’s Movement to addressing trafficking of minors in Georgia, including workshops for clergy and sponsoring a day of citizen advocacy at the Georgia State Capitol.
